My studio is, at present, in our conservatory. It's beautiful and bright. And very hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. But I love it. It is my haven!

I live in a beautiful little village just outside Dover in Kent. I am lucky to be surrounded by beautiful trees which are teaming with wildlife. I love to watch the squirrels jumping from branch to branch (and sometimes missing!), and seeing the birds in the spring looking for their one true love (well, for this season anyway), and watching them build nests, rear their young, encourage the fledgelings to leave the nests they only recently built (ooh, got carried away there) it's a wonder I get any jewellery made at all.

But seriously, it is lovely here. The atmosphere is so peaceful, that I can lose myself in the beads and pieces I am making.

I started out just making a few pieces of jewellery as a hobby. And this hobby quickly grew into a passion. Initially, I was drawn to making chainmail jewellery. It's amazing how intricate some of the weaves can be. And they can look so wonderful, especially when partnered with materials such as swarovski crystals or lampwork beads.

Ah, lampwork beads. My newest passion. The artists who produce these beauties are incredibly talented. I am currently dabbling with the torch myself, but it will be a very long time before I can produce anything worthy of a piece of jewellery or even a key ring...
